A beautiful gîte in the Lot Valley nestled in vineyards and nature.

SLEEPS 2-4 PEOPLE

Bienvenue!

Just outside the small riverside town of Luzech, our gîte is nestled in a peaceful valley surrounded by oak & pine forests. From April and May onwards the countryside comes alive with wildlife — a multitude of wild flowers & insects from grasshoppers to butterflies and visiting wild boar & roe deer from the surrounding woodlands.

It’s perfect for walking, cycling or just relaxing & all the numerous beautiful places to visit in the Lot region. Inside, it’s a calm and comfortable space with thoughtful interior design, an open-plan layout, and a wood burner for cosy evenings.

And when you fancy food, wine, and a bit of bustle, it’s around a 10-minute walk into town along a pretty footpath of oak trees and wild herbs in spring Summer.

A garden with blooming white and pink flowers, a gravel pathway, a stone house wall, and an old-fashioned lantern hanging from the house eaves under a blue sky.
A bedroom with a large bed with white bedding, green and white patterned pillows and headboards, a mosquito net canopy, a wicker nightstand with a decorative wicker lamp, a window with yellow floral curtains, and a small green side table.
A lush green landscape with trees, grass, and a house in the distance under a clear blue sky.

About the gîte

The gîte sits within Logis de Liounet, a private home owned by a fun, creative couple: an English interior designer and her French-speaking, wine-loving husband, who works internationally in the beverage industry. Both passionate about travel, music, cooking and bringing people together — with a taste for the eclectic.

This is a house where ambience matters: candlelight, carefully chosen books, good music drifting through open doors, and long tables filled with friends, conversation, and excellent food and wine. That same spirit carries through into the gîte — beautifully considered interiors, relaxed rather than precious, designed to be lived in and enjoyed.

While the gîte is completely private, it shares the soul of the main house: a love of hospitality, comfort, and the simple pleasures of slow living in South West France.

Staying here gives guests a taste of a very particular way of life – unfussy design, beautiful materials, calm spaces, and an atmosphere shaped by creativity and hospitality rather than formality.

It’s not a hotel. It’s not styled for Instagram.

It’s a real place — and that’s exactly the point.

A cozy bedroom with stone walls and wooden beams, featuring two beds with patterned headboards and bedding, a small side table, and glass doors leading to a garden with outdoor chairs.
