A beautiful gîte in the Lot Valley nestled in vineyards and nature.
SLEEPS 2-4 PEOPLE
Bienvenue!
Welcome to Logis de Liounet, our peaceful retreat nestled in a beautiful valley just a ten-minute walk from the charming riverside town of Luzech, in the heart of the Lot.
Surrounded by ancient oak woodland and rolling countryside of Malbec vineyards, Liounet is a place to slow down, unwind and reconnect with nature. Each day offers the chance to spot roe deer quietly grazing and sometimes wild boar in the Summer when the cherry tree’s are full of fruit. In May/ June you get a mass of butterflies and insects, not to mention the incredible Birdsong which is the soundtrack to life at Liounet. An array of woodpeckers, nuthatch’s, chiffchaff’s, Western Bonelli’s warblers, tawny owls and the enchanting song of the nightingale all calling this valley home. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast on your secluded terrace, or relaxing by the pool, or taking an evening stroll by the river or vineyards, nature is never far away.
Despite its wonderfully secluded setting, the historic village of Luzech and the beautiful River Lot are just a short stroll away. Here you’ll find welcoming cafés and restaurants and fresh bakeries and the Luzech local market on a Wednesday. Not more than fifteen minutes away are the beautiful villages of Albas, Prayssac, Puy l’Eveque and a multitude of vineyards and walking trails within easy reach.
We hope you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive and leave with wonderful memories of this special corner of southwest France.
About the gîte
The Gite at Logis de Liounet, sits amidst the private home owned by an English interior designer and her incredibly irritating and grumpy husband, who works in the beverage industry. Both passionate about travel, music, cooking and bringing people together — with a taste for the eclectic.
This is a house where ambience matters: candlelight, carefully chosen books, good music drifting through open doors, and long tables filled with friends, conversation, and excellent food and wine. That same spirit carries through into the gîte — beautifully considered interiors, relaxed rather than precious, designed to be lived in and enjoyed.
While the gîte is completely private, it shares the soul of the main house: a love of hospitality, comfort, and the simple pleasures of slow living in South West France.
Staying here gives guests a taste of a very particular way of life – unfussy design, beautiful materials, calm spaces, and an atmosphere shaped by creativity and hospitality rather than formality.
It’s not a hotel. It’s not styled for Instagram.
It’s a real place — and that’s exactly the point.
